Dishwasher Salmon
|
|
i got this idea from the "surreal gourmet" tv show. |
what i did differently; |
i sliced a few lemons with my mandolin to a uniform thinness. |
i seasoned with mccormick's creole seasoning. |
|
slice 2 lbs salmon filets (do not try this with a whole fish!) into four |
or five individual servings. cut heavy-duty aluminum foil into 12"squares. |
on the foil, create a bed of six or so lemon slices, and place fish on the |
bed. season to your liking with the creole seasoning. blanket the fish |
with more lemon slices. pinch-wrap the salmon between two sheets of foil, |
making sure it is air-tight. (a little pressure with your palm on the |
wrapped fish will tell you; if air escapes, re-wrap) make sure your |
dishwasher is on "normal" cycle, with any water miser or cool dry |
functions off. place salmon packets on top shelf as flat as possible. run |
dishwasher on a full cycle, including dry (full heat, remember). when |
dishwasher is done, your salmon is done. if i hadn't tried it, i wouldn't |
have believed it! lt |
